The magnapooter project endeavors to re-invent electric music from its earliest elements.
This setup: a free-spinning flywheel sends magnets past a magnetic switch. This causes a 9vdc. pulse directly to a speaker. The speakers are modified with resonant tubes or objects to change the sound.
There are no semi-conductors in this setup, but subsequent designs use minimal electronics to interface with amplifiers or analog synthesizers.
